Guitar repair
Single string replacement – £5 (string included)
Full restring/fingerboard clean
(if needed) – £15 plus strings
(Full Floyd Rose restring – £20 plus strings)
Crack/break repair – £10–20 depending on complexity. Happy to help with simple breaks/starter instruments (but, to be clear, I’m no luthier!)
Plus other bits and pieces that are more ‘as and when’; replacing machine-heads, tweaking the action/neck-relief/intonation etc..
Violin repair
Single string replacement – £5 plus string
Full restring – £10 plus strings
Bridge replacement – £20 (all included)
Again, I’m really no luthier, but happy to do what I can with student instruments (there are a few locals who can handle more advanced work, and could save you a trip into town!)
Electric guitar repair
Something I dabble in through popular demand, at a very basic level. Quite comfortable reattaching loose PTP wires, cleaning innards with isopropyl spray etc.. More technical stuff I’ll refer elsewhere, but if your electric just sounds a bit fuzzy or has suddenly cut out, there’s a fair chance I can help.
(Generally £20–30 depending what’s needed, on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis)
